Job Description

We are looking for someone to join our team! We are a fast-paced pet grooming shop and are looking for a bather with experience or someone that can handle the position. We can train the right candidate. After 90-day probationary period commission + tips will be made available. We are looking for someone that is looking for a career in the pet grooming services industry. If you have what it takes we will consider your grooming apprentice position after one year of bathing.

Duties include:

 

-Recognizing animal behavior

-Lifting Dogs/ Heavy Items (50lbs.)

-Walking dogs of all weights/sizes/breeds

-Proper cleaning and sterilizing after pets

-Recognizing any potential medical problems (ex: ear infections, hot spots, fleas, loss of appetite)

-Veterinary Experience

-Animal Restraints

-Basic Animal Medical Care

-Infectious/contagious disease awareness

-Flea/Tick Knowledge

 

Dog Bather Techniques Desired:

 

-Correct Bathing Protocol

-Brushing/Blow Dry

-Trimming/ Filing Nails

-Cleaning Ears

-Plucking Ear Hair

-Brushing Teeth

-Express Anal Glands (external and internal)

-Brushing/De-matting

-Using furminator shampoo/brush

-Using Medicated shampoo

-Using scissors/clippers for face trims

-Sanitary Trimming: shaving rear end, shaving under paws, trimming around/under paws, tail trimming, ear trimming

 

Part Time with possible Full Time in Summer and Holidays AM/PM shifts available Must be able to work holidays and weekends.
